“Jesus replied, ‘What is impossible with men is possible with God.'”
Luke 18:27, NIV

Growing as a Christian means becoming more comfortable with the impossible. God has made man in such a way that we are limited. Be assured, you will arrive at situations where you say this is going to take more than I have to give. Maybe you have found yourself in one of those situations this week. If you are like most of God’s children, the impossible comes along every day.

According to Romans 8:29, God’s purpose is to conform you into the image of His Son. God uses impossible situations to transform our lives and bring Him glory. As you face the impossible, your faith becomes tested. As faith becomes tested it starts producing character in your life. That character brings steadfastness that points to God’s hope. Why does it point to God’s hope? Because, what is impossible with man is possible with God. That, my friend, brings hope in spite of circumstances.

Not all Christians get renewed hope through the impossible. Sometimes we never get our eyes off the circumstances. We miss seeing God’s Word for what it is – truth that changes lives. We miss, through our unbelief, the benefit for which the entire circumstance was orchestrated.

God specializes in the impossible! Remember, “let there be light and there was light?” How about Moses taking hundreds of thousands of people out of Egypt? Do not forget the conversion of the Apostle Paul or better yet, your miraculous conversion. God has never committed Himself to making you comfortable. He has, however, gone on record to say He seeks to conform you.

As God builds character in you by faith, trust Him with your comfort. Know that just about the time things are looking tough, God is not surprised but prepared to do the supernatural.

QUESTION: Is there a situation that God is asking you to trust Him by faith? What Scripture can you apply in your life to boost your faith through this situation?
