“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is anything too difficult for Me?”
Jeremiah 32:27, NAS
That is right, nothing is too difficult for God. He is perfectly able to take care of all of your needs, big, small, short, or tall, the Lord knows what He is doing. Not only does He know what He is doing but He is perfectly capable to accomplish whatever is needed. Jeremiah was a sad prophet. He is known as the “weeping” prophet, so the Lord had to constantly reassure Jeremiah of His strength and ability. What about you? Does the Lord need to reassure you today. Well, take comfort in this verse.
There is no marriage He cannot save. There is no child He cannot bring home. There is no financial problem that He cannot solve. There is no health issue He cannot heal. There is nothing too difficult for Him. When will you trust Him with the difficulties of your life? He is the Lord, the God of all flesh you know!
Rain is a great illustration of the scope of God’s presence in your life, if you have trusted Jesus as your Lord and Savior. When you are out in the rain, there is nowhere to escape it. Even if you are under an umbrella, you still get quite wet. I often think of God’s mercy when it is raining but I am also prone to consider His presence in my life. Because of His presence, knowledge, ability, power, influence, etc. I am safe, protected, strong, and able.
Can you honestly say that you believe that nothing is too difficult for the Lord? If you cannot, why not? Do you know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior? In addition to your salvation, have you seen Him do something incredible in your life?
QUESTION: List all the victories that you can recall in your life. How did Jesus lead you through these experiences? What area of your life is giving you the most difficulty? Take time to pray right now and ask Him to give you patience, wisdom, strength, and a general trust in Him for this situation.
